From our cottage, you can easily access numerous marked routes suitable for all levels. You can admire the picturesque landscapes and cultural heritage of the Famenne-Ardenne region, navigating winding roads and challenging hills. If you don’t have your own bike, you can rent one in Houyet or Beauraing.

After a day of adventure, you can relax in our cottage, equipped with a changing room and a fully equipped laundry room. You can also enjoy the wood-burning fireplace in winter or the garden in summer. We look forward to welcoming you and providing an unforgettable cycling experience!

A Comfortable Cycling Stay

When we talk about comfort, we’re not only referring to quality bedding or the amazing armchairs in our living room… We’re also talking about being able to provide everything you need to store, maintain, and clean your bikes, clothes, and yourself!

Equipment for bike maintenance and cleaning

In addition to equipment for bike cleaning, we provide a repair kit with suitable tools for small emergency repairs. You’ll find a floor pump (for all types of valves), patches, tire levers, a chain breaker, a set of screwdrivers, wrenches, and Allen keys, etc.(* Consult owner for confirmation).

A Changing Room and a Well-Equipped Laundry Room

Depending on the weather, your attire might be dirty, even muddy, upon arrival at the cottage… To cater to all your needs, you have access to a changing room with a sink and toilet, as well as a large laundry room equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

Certainly, a private shower for each room also awaits you !

For Beautiful Strolls or Grand Adventures

From our cottage, you can easily access the RAVeL Houyet-Rochefort-Jemelle, which traverses tunnels, bridges, viaducts, with several technical climbs and thrilling descents. The breathtaking landscapes of the Lesse Valley are awe-inspiring, and the castle of Ciergnon is a must-visit.

Don’t miss the classified village of Celles, with its winding roads, or the challenge of the castle of Vêves, perched on a rocky spur.

For those seeking thrills, the forests and picturesque villages in the surroundings offer a variety of marked trails. You can tackle steep climbs, negotiate technical turns, and enjoy fast descents.

You also have access to bike rental and repair services nearby.

Such as Ardenne Vélos in Houyet, a shop that offers the rental of mountain bikes, regular bikes, and electric bikes in Houyet, with rates for the day or half-day, guided or independent routes, and repair and maintenance services.

Or Scarcez Event in Beauraing, which also has bikes for rent by the day, repair and maintenance services, as well as accessories like helmets, child seats, or trailers.

For small repairs, we provide tools in our cottage.

We had a fantastic weekend with 10 girlfriends at the Gîte de Brohimont. The house and the view were fantastic. We enjoyed it!

We verbleven een week op Thierry's plek met 6 volwassenen en drie kinderen (5, 3 en 1 jaar oud) en hadden de best mogelijke wintervakantie. De plek is perfect, te beginnen met de locatie, omgeven door bos met een prachtig uitzicht, een ruime open keuken en woonkamer met een open haard en grote eettafel, en een apart gedeelte van het huis verdeeld met een deur is het slaapgedeelte met 5 slaapkamers, elk met een eigen douche en toilet. En een speelkamer op de tweede verdieping. Het huis is goed uitgerust en elegant ingericht en had alles wat we maar konden bedenken, van speciaal servies en stoelen voor de kinderen tot potten en pannen van elke maat, en alle mogelijke kookbenodigdheden die we nodig hadden. En het beste deel is de omgeving, als we de deur uit stapten, waren we in een prachtig bos, en de heuvels, en we konden lange wandelingen maken in het gebied zonder iemand tegen te komen behalve de vogels en het geluid van de wind in de bomen. Zelfs midden in de winter was het prachtig. Perfect! We komen binnenkort terug.

We came as a group of eight, equipped with our bikes, during the first weekend of November. We can only congratulate and thank the hosts, so welcoming, available, and charming! A wonderful place: the silence, the birdsong, the atmosphere, and the scenery of this rare place where you can see so far, where you breathe deeply under the starry sky. We arrived only after sunset and although house is amazingly renovated with an excellent taste, the most important thing we saw was in next the morning. View from huge windows from living room is inimitable and very calming. House is located in vast private forest so your kids or pets can enjoy it freely. Inside you will find everything you want, with superbly equipped kitchen if you like to cook like I do, a lot of space to rest and private rooms (+ extra helpful stuff for kids like changing table, books in 3 different languages, toys etc). Last but not least, or maybe an icing on the cake, Host Thierry is very helpful, welcoming and talkative person. I am 100% sure we will go back to this place sooner or later. I am extremely happy I've trusted my gut feelings and will recommend this place to friends.
